Richard-Bruce Becerra

Becerra Paint & Design was founded in 1998 by Richard-Bruce Becerra as a decorative painting studio focused on murals, trompe l'oeil and faux finishing.

In 2001 after receiving his California C-33 painting and decorating license, Richard began restoring interior paint, woodwork and plaster in historic homes. Over the years through word of mouth he started taking on exterior renovations and restorations of historical homes and buildings. As a small company, Becerra Paint & design was limited to only accepting a small number of projects, so Richard started consulting and managing large projects to be able to help clients complete their projects at a high-level.

Richard acquired his knowledge & skills working over 12 years in the decorating industry before starting Becerra Paint & Design. He has worked in numerous areas' including freelance artist, historic restoration, faux finishing, interior design, staging, interior decorating, design/build, project management and color consulting.

 

He is well-versed in all aspects of the decorating trade from old world techniques to modern methods. Working hands-on every project has allowed him to organically grow his clientele and build a reputation for high standards, superior craftsmanship and diligent work ethic. He continues honing his skills on a daily basis to provide clients with the best methods possible for their project. Richard-Bruce is currently focused on helping his clients by consulting and managing projects but still loves the trade, so he works hands-on a few days a week and occasionally accepts full projects as a C-33 painting contractor.

With over 36 years' experience in the decorating industry, he has gained valuable insight working on both large- and small-scale projects. Richard-Bruce strives to provide the highest level of craftsmanship and attention to detail on every project.
